(Entry #13) Poecile carolinesis, the carolina chickadee, that which I know as the chickadee. It is very common and evil. They have white heads with black caps and black throats and gray backs. They have sand-colored chests. They are not noticeably sexually dimorphic. Paradoxically, the make sounds so often I don't know what they sound like. They can be mistaken for nuthatches, as they are similar colors and actually they can climb up trees, and according to certain sources they can hang upside down. Nuthatches do not have black throats, however, and are of a somewhat different shape. There are more birds that they may be mistaken for, but for now I will not include these.
