Picture 48, which I said was probably a garter snake, was in fact, a garter snake; a western ribbon snake, to be more specific.
The first and third are Mississippi kites. The mushroom is (probably) a green-spored parasol. At any rate, it's safest to assume it is, since it looks similar to an edible mushroom, but is poisonous. All the other flying birds are vultures. The pink bird is a female cardinal, and the little gray fledging thing is probably also a cardinal. The last three pictures are a goatweed leafwing, apparently. And the blue flower is a dayflower. And the fly is a fly. You aren't going insane; flies are still flies.
I like observing animals, especially birds. I also take care of the goats. I like goats.
My assistant photographer! She also takes care of African geese.
Another assistant photographer! She takes care of the rabbits, and the hutch is teeming with crawly things.
